Holiday Fair in Downtown Arcadia from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (301 S. First Ave., Arcadia, CA 91006). First Avenue will be closed and filled with vendors, food, music and lots of holiday fun for everyone. Santa will be there too. Adrianna Marie and her band will make an appearance to perform a few songs and collect toy donations for the Arcadia Fire Department who will then distribute them to Foothill Unity and other charitable causes in the community. Dec. 13

WinterFest at Arcadia High School Performing Arts Center from 8:30-10 p.m. (188 Campus Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007). Enjoy an evening of themed one acts that will instantly get you into the holiday spirit. Tickets are $5. For more information, click here.

Nightmare Before Christmas Trivia at Mt. Low Brewing Co. from noon to 11:30 p.m. (150 E. Saint Joseph St., Arcadia, CA 91006). Enjoy the film, trivia, specialty beers and a food truck. Admission is free. For more information, click here.

Tree Lighting Ceremony at La Pintoresca Park from 5-7 p.m. (1415 N. Raymond Ave., Pasadena, CA 91103). Enjoy holiday music, arts and crafts, story time, face painting, and a ride around La Pintoresca Park on a trackless train while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Bring your camera for a free picture with Santa. Traditional tamales and champurrado will be served. Admission is free. Frozen Jr at IFGF Monrovia Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., Dec. 14 at 2 & 7 p.m., Dec. 15 at 4 p.m. and Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. (147 W. Palm Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016). rozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. Dec. 14

Hiroshima Holiday Show at The Rose with music beginning at 7 p.m. (245 E. Green St., Pasadena, CA 91101). Hear classics, a taste of new music and holiday music Hiroshima style: “Winter Wonderland,” “Thousand Cranes,” a rousing “Rudolph” and an emotional “Silent Night.” Tickets range from $28 to $58. Old Pasadena Yappy Holidays at Big Bang Theory Way from 2-4 p.m. (93 E. Green St., Pasadena, CA 91105). There will be features photo ops galore, Santa’s elves ready to pose for pics, giveaways, treats and samples from The Dog Bakery, live music performed by The Holly Street Stompers, and the chance to say hello to local Instagram doggy celebrity guests. Dec. 15

Lung Power Day at Southern California Children’s Museum from 9:30 a.m. to noon (459 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91101). If you have a child with asthma, join Breathe LA for a fun family day of asthma education with physician tips for managing childhood asthma. Registration is required, and includes a free lunch and admission to the Southern California Children’s Mueseum. To qualify for the event, you are required to bring at least one child who has asthma (ages 6-12). Lung Power is a free family event. Register at

Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides in Old Town Monrovia Dec. 15 from 3-6 p.m. & Dec. 19 from 5-8 p.m. (Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia, CA 91016). The wagon rides will be offered on Myrtle Avenue on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to get there early. Rides are $5 per person. For more information, click here.

Monrovia Holiday Light Run at A Snail’s Pace Running Shop from 6-7:30 p.m. (750 Myrtle Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016). Join the Holiday Light Run through friendly Monrovia neighborhoods. Dec. 18

DIY Emoji Pillows for Teens at Duarte Teen Center from 3:30-4:30 p.m. (1400 Buena Vista St., Duarte, CA 91010). This is a fun do-it-yourself program where you use felt, padding, glue, and templates to make your very own emoji pillow. Materials provided while supplies last. Participation is free. Dec. 19

Lythgoe Family Panto’s a Snow White Christmas at Pasadena Civic Auditorium at 7 p.m. (300 E. Green St., Pasadena, CA 91101). An updated version of the classic fairytale, Princess Snow White joins forces with the Seven Dwarves to defeat her wicked Aunt the Queen.
