The image of Jesus as “Light of the World” will shape activities at the upcoming free weeklong evening Vacation Bible School at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Monrovia.

Classes will be held Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to 12, from 7 p.m. to 8:25 p.m.

Classes will be taught by the church’s Assistant Pastor, the Reverend Nathan Biornstad. Children ages 4 to 10 are invited to attend

“We’ll use storytelling and crafts related to light to help kids learn more about Jesus as the light of the world,” says Reverend Biornstad. “We’ll also share fun interactive learning to find out about the rituals used in our church services and what they mean.” Parents are welcome to drop their children off at the church (122 S. California Ave. at Foothill Blvd.) or stay and be a part of the program. For questions, call the church at (626) 357-7071.
