Final touches today! Signage, our lively kiosk was installed, our mutt mitt box for your pups, private savings on the rented raised beds, and umbrellas for these hot hot days! Looking good! Come by the public corner garden and take a break! It’s a lovely view. . . . . . #monroviacommunitygarden #monrovia #communitygarden #communitybuilding #urbangardening #benches #reclaimedwood #rescuewood #growveggies #growflowers
The garden was designed to provide the community with a variety of opportunities to learn about urban gardening and sustainability, while providing interested families with a space to grow their own garden. Out of the 27 individuals who applied, 21 burgeoning gardeners were accepted for the available private garden plots and they have already started gardening.
