The firs workshop held by the Monrovia Community Garden on vegetable gardening was a success, over 35 community members attended, and the next workshop will be held on Sept. 21 from 9-11 a.m. Attendees will learn about all things compost: what you can and can’t compost, different types of compost methods, and all about Monrovia’s compost program. Everyone is invited to attend.

What a fun morning we had in the garden! Awesome turnout to learn all about beginning vegetable gardening. We talked about soil, seasonal planting, easy and hard to grow veggies, pests and diseases and of course, watering. Lovely group of neighbors came and now all know, don’t let your zucchinis turn into giant monsters! #themoreyouknow🌈 Thanks to all who came out this morning. Great radish harvest too!! Can’t wait to do it again! . . . . #monrovia #monroviacommunitygarden #communitygarden #communitybuilding #growveggies #garden #gardeneducation #dirt #soilhealth #growwhatyoueat
