The California Retired Teachers’ Association number 71 (CalRTA) will be treated to harmonious holiday sounds from the Monrovia H.S. Camerata Singers at a luncheon meeting on Friday, Dec. 9 at 11:30 a.m. The singers’ performance will include a sing-along of “Joy to the World” and other traditional Christmas music. Under the direction of well-known conductor Bill Moore, this talented 32-member group has been highly ranked at music festivals by the Southern California Vocal Association.

The CalRTA number 71 luncheon meeting will take place at the Senior Center Building in Arcadia Park (county park), 405 W. Santa Anita Ave., Arcadia, next to the Lawn Bowling Greens. Guests are welcome to come enjoy the luncheon and the delightful musical program. The cost of the luncheon for members and guests is $12. Membership in the California Retired Teachers’ Association is open to all retired educators, as well to current educators, and to any others interested in joining this active group. The local CalRTA number 71, San Gabriel Valley Division, now numbers around 500 members. CalRTA’s motto is “Your Partner in Pension Protection.”
