City crews planted new trees along Madison Avenue, adjacent to Monrovia High School. Crews planted approximately 40 Brisbane box trees to replace trees that were removed as a part of the sidewalk improvement project undertaken this past summer. Plans for planting trees along the front of the High School are still in development as part landscape improvements at the high school.

These plantings are a part of the city’s commitment to replant all trees that were removed on a two for one basis. While working toward this goal, additional trees will be planted elsewhere throughout the city.

This work took place on Monday and Tuesday with crews working from about 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
