During the annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway Monday at the Arboretum, Monrovia’s finest lent a hand loading up the holiday goodies for 1,000 needy area families. On Tuesday the local non-profit gave 850 meals with all the trimmings to smaller area families.

There are several ways to still help Foothill Unity this year. Dec. 3 is Giving Tuesday, an international day of charitable giving, and Foothill Unity is accepting donations that can be made online, by check or phone. If you will be doing any online shopping through Amazon, you can turn on AmazonSmile and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. Then simply select Foothill Unity as the charity of your choice. You might also consider volunteering at one of their upcoming events.
