During Make a Difference Day on Oct. 24 you can join hundreds of volunteers between 8 a.m. and noon to make a difference in Monrovia.

Volunteer opportunities included tying red ribbons around town in support of Red Ribbon week, participating in a car parade to local senior centers, participating in a phone chain to speak with local seniors, and visiting the Hero Wall to write a note of appreciation for Monrovia’s first responders.

Individuals and groups can sign up and adopt a project on the Volunteer Center of San Gabriel Valley’s website. Contact Penny Arroyo at (626) 755-1636 for information on large group registration.
